Don’t Wait to Play—Fresh Snow Now in Big Bear!

Fresh snow from the recent storm means Alpine Slide Big Bear has flourishing snow tubing hills for the 2022-2023 season. The snow-tubing park reported that its snow base is about three to four feet with three full-length snow-tubing runs now open. (Note: check road conditions and weather before planning your trip.)

Alpine Slide Big Bear has ski-resort quality snowmaking systems to assure there is always snow for snow-tubing family fun. To ensure optimum sliding conditions, the park grooms its runs nightly, just as ski resorts do. As winter continues, Alpine Slide will eventually blanket its runs with more snow and expects to boast more than 20 feet of snow.

Alpine Slide Big Bear provides two Magic Carpet uphill lifts, which are comprised of a large moving conveyor belt, similar to an airport terminal people mover that transports riders to the top of snow-packed slopes. The purpose of Magic Carpet rides is to eliminate the stress of climbing the hill, which in turn provides opportunity for more downhill fun. For added comfort, one of the Magic Carpet rides comes equipped with a Plexiglass cover for those snowy, chilly days. When it’s time for a winter warm-up, head to the heated base lodge for a family-priced snack bar.

Alpine Slide Big Bear is open for snow tubing daily from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Night tubing starts Friday, November 25, and will be open every Friday, Saturday, and holiday nights from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. All other attractions at Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain, including the Mineshaft Coaster, the Alpine Slide Ride, the Soaring Eagle, mini golf and go-karts are open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to dusk.
