About Kathy Strong

Although “The ’57 Chevy” is my first fictional novel, I am the published author of seven popular travel guidebooks, the most recent being “Secret Southern California”. My first guidebook and the five titles that followed were published by Globe Pequot Press and were followed by many updated editions, found in major bookstores as well as online. “Secret Southern California” was my first indie project, but my most enjoyable allowing me the freedom to include “secrets” from other contributors as well and unearth incredible destinations not known to most travelers. My books over the last 30-plus years have led to many speaking and book signing events which I enjoy thoroughly, finding that connecting with readers is nearly as enjoyable as writing the books they read and follow. I am a native southern Californian, a former magazine editor of three popular magazines, an award-winning celebrity interviewer, columnist and feature writer for such publications as USA Today and AARP the Magazine. This current book under submission, “The 57 Chevy”, has undoubtedly been my most blissful project that celebrates my life-long passion and fascination with mysteries, suspense and human motivation, allowing me to combine my love of describing destinations with my imagination.
